Low carbon, austenitic chromium - nickel steel which resits intergranular corrosion in the temperature range up to 350°C . No post-weld heat treatment required. The steel resists weathering and the action of steam, water and acids as well as alkaline solutions. Surface finish required of optimum corrosion resistance: pickled. Cold forming properties are good. The steel is capable of taking a high mirror finish.
