At one with nature

Today it is not sufficient to meet modern production standards, other considerations are also important, for example a sensitive use of natural resources - a subject so important to us that it has become a part of the BÖHLER quality and environmental policy.

Out environmental management system is certified to
EN ISO 14001.

Clime: aktiv-award for energy efficiency

Based on the installation of a recuperator in the exhaust gas stack of our steam boiler plant we are in the position to use the rejected heat of the exhaust gas for our internal heat consumption. This project has been awarded as a showcase project with the clime:aktiv-award from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management.

 

1. Environmental protection is equivalent to the economic, technical and social interests of the company.

2. Promotion and strengthening of everyone’s sense of responsibility for acting in accordance with the environment.

3. Compliance with environmental legislation and continual improvement of the environmental performance of the company.

4. Active cooperation with the competent authorities and information of the public about measures for further reduction of pollution.

5. Prevention or reduction of pollution by using the best available and economically justifiable technologies. Establishing of precautions for possible accidents or emergencies.

6. Estimation of the environmental impact of each new product and of each new process in advance.

7. Monitoring of the production processes by the site-specific environmental controlling system.

8. Recycling of residues, as far as technically possible and economically efficient.

9. Information to our suppliers and contract partners on our environmental policy and environmental objectives and derived from that the commitment to adapt and organize their manner of working accordingly.

10. Advice to our customers about the environmental aspects important during using and disposing of our products.
