Böhler Edelstahl GmbH & Co KG is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high speed steels, tool steels and special materials. It concentrates its efforts on materials for highly demanding applications. Böhler has always played a significant role in development and is the benchmark in metallurgy against which others are measured. Proof of this can be found in our more than 250 steel grades. These materials are used in the production of goods which we use every day. For example in machine tools, as moulds in the production of plastic goods, as cold work tool steels for punching, bending and cutting applications, as hot work tool steel in die casting or as special materials in highly demanding applications in aircraft, turbines in power generation, in medicine or in oil drilling at sea.
We see our contribution to the economy as offering our customers materials which enable better design and an increase in productivity which they want or need to increase their competitiveness. An international sales network and service centres guarantee that Böhler materials are available all over the world.
